It’s Labour day! Unlike most kids, I LOVED going back to school! Relief from a usually boring and peerless summer. But whether the first Monday on September fills you with glee (not likely) or dread (more likely), it is a signal that things are about to change. From summer to fall, from shorts to sweaters, from doing nothing all day to doing nothing all day in a classroom.
BUT, what happens when you live in a country with no Labour Day? This time last year, we had had just moved out of our home of five years (the place where we really grew into adulthood), into a new short-term home. And, were celebrating Jimmy-san’s birthday in a winnebago, eating overrated pork belly under a camo canopy. All new things. This year … summer bled into autumn without event.
Er, so can I still wear white?
