“Oh we’re so disarming darling, everything we did believe.”

Had a really great shoot with Jonas and Lisa E. for Contra. Saty and I wanted the shoot to have a documentary feel to it ’cause we’ve been shooting so much studio work lately, and were itching to do something more ‘real’. “Pretend we’re not here,” we said as we followed them around. Telling them what to do. With two cameras. And an MUA and stylist in tow. But Jonas and Lisa were pro-star, and it was all going swell ’til the man delivering our lunch showed up in the middle of my frame and killed the illusion.

Things learned on this shoot: Hedi Slimane has shitloads of assistants on his hyper-personal looking shoots [Jonas], and South Africa’s still got a lot of shit to sort out [Lisa].
